Guess where my dad took me?
It was a blast.
I love my dad.

Animalistic
Living this close to a zoo full of wild and ferocious animals may frighten the weak of heart. Will the tigers escape and eat us? Will the monkeys get loose and pillage the pantry? No no no. Please. Relax. Get your wits about you. We are 100% safe where we reside.
Mom scored an annual zoo pass this year. Ka-Ching! And may I add, Ku-dos mamasita. With dad and Grandpa out of town for the weekend; me, mom, and Gramma Sheri went to the zoo. What an adventure! Apparently, I went last October... dressed as a tiger... for Boo at the Zoo. But I have zero recollection of it. This, though, THIS was awesome. Just the idea of being that close to live animals... was THRILLING!! I mean sure, I've known they were there my whole life but to see them. To smell them. Now I have lived!
My favorite thing at the zoo were the cranes. I am the Crane Man. I was mesmerized. And giggly. Unfortunately, mom was so mesmerized with my mesmerising that she didn't take a picture. But, let it be known. I heart cranes.
Gramma Sheri took me into the Petting Zoo. There's a few goats in there and like a billion kids. The human kind not the goat kind. Her and mom were sure this would be a home run. I like to pet dogs and explore my world. I did not like it at all. It was scary. Nay, terrifying! I was fine if Gramma was holding me- but she held me up on this rock and all these menacing goats were running around. And, I lost it. I wailed. Gramma Sheri took the hint and we bolted for the door. I prefer to adore nature... behind glass.
We saw it all. The otters, lions, peacocks, penguins, bears, snow leopards, ducks, camels (and a baby camel!). We ended up skipping the monkey house. My cousin, Evan, said there is some pretty scary stuff in 'ere. So, maybe when I'm older. It was a scorcher of a day and after a couple hours I was pooped. I drank all of Gramma's water bottle. Well, I spilled most of it on me and drank some. We ended our day with corn dogs and Blizzards at the DQ and a bath for me to wash that stink off. They can't wash away my animal instincts though. Meow!

Can you see my hands? I'm getting a little nervous. |

When I Grow Up....
I've been thinking a lot about my future lately. You know, what I want to be when I grow up- how to make a buck. I've been exploring some of my options.
Stuntman! I love heights, going fast, being thrown around. I dislike getting hurt, crying, and I assume breaking bones. That's a "no" on Stuntman I guess. |
Doctor? Yeah. That has a nice ring to it. Dr. Koleson. Niiiiiice. I would be a ear, nose, and throat specialist as it is evident that is where my interest lies. |
Quality Control Expert or Billy Goat. I'm dreaming big here. |
It's a big world. With big opportunities. And I am smart slab of steak. It's all out there waiting for me. But for now.... I just like being Koley. Son, nephew, grandson, cousin. Koley Strombolli. |
